The GM section was a double RR event with three GM-s and three young candidates. GM Gordon Stephen (ENG) presented careful positional style that lead him to victory.

Kojima Shinya (JPN) an Olympic player of his national team achieved his third IM norm after nine rounds.

Westerberg Jonathan (SWE) made his second IM norm thanks to his strong concentration in the finish.

Sean Winshand Cuhendi (INA, 16) has become equal partner of all GM-s. He won two IM tournaments just before his first GM event. So, the field balanced with players in good shape nobody had real chance for a GM norm.

The monthly organized First Saturday tournaments always bring something that is worth paying attention to. The sensation of this month was the mature play of a 12 year old little boy who showed up extraordinary skills of combinations and of orientation in complicated positions. Havasi Gergo (HUN) played first time in IM-s competition but won it by convincing play performing his first IM norm after missing it by only half a point in the HUN Open Championship in Zalakaros )HUN) earlier this year.

He is U12 National Champion too. His goal is admittedly to be a Super GM soon. Seeing him play this objective seems to be quite real. He lives and studies in Szekesfehervar city. His coach is GM Szabo Krisztian (HUN) who despite his young age has become an expert in teaching young talents since his two younger sisters are also good chess-players.

Players from India made the event not only transcontinental but their games were also interesting to watch. WGM Kulkarni Bhakti was the only one left unbeaten. She missed the IM norm only by one point due to the tiresome long trip that had effect to her play at the beginning.

Another 12 year old boy CM Nitish Belurkar U10 Champion of Asia (2011 INA) played surprisingly well also in the second part of the tournament.

The highest Rating section brought clash of generations with an overwhelming success of the youth. Farkas Richard (16, HUN) has won at this level many times and should play in the IM section. Bohus Adam (12, HUN) won record number of Rating points for the second time this year. His continuos work with FM Akots Gabor definitely brings its fruit. Former U10 European Champion FM Krstulovic Alex (10, HUN) could have won even more with slower and more patient play.
