THE CHAMPION TEAM TAGAYTAY PHIL
The Tagaytay City team won the Asian Cities Chess Team Championship (Dubai Cup) held 19-27 October 2013 in Tagaytay City, Philippines. The Filipinos finished alone with 17 match points while the Chinese teams of Shanghai and Wu Xi tied at 15 match points each. Shanghai placed second by virtue of the Direct Encounter tie break.
Eighteen teams competed in the 9-round Swiss system tournament organized by the National Chess Federation of the Philippines under the auspices of the Asian Chess Federation.
