Bangladeshi FIDE Master Fahad Rahman earned his second victory in the Open Under-10 category of the World Youth Chess Championship held in Al-Ain, UAE, by defeating Ter-Saakin Grigorii of Russia on Thursday.
Fahad secured 2 points from yesterday’s 2nd round match against Russian Ter-Saakin Grigorii and currently leads the Open Under-10 group leader board with 38 players with a point tally of 4.
Earlier, Fahad beat Mohamed Tamer of Egypt in the first round to claim his first two points.
A total of 207 players including 10 FIDE Masters from
74 countries are taking part in the Open Under-10 age group and this is a big stage for 2028th FIDE ranked Fahad to make a name abroad.
